A baby brand developed
in Azabujuban, Minato-ku, Tokyo
Shortly after my eldest child, who is now 10 years old, was born, I launched a baby bib brand based in Azabu Juban, Tokyo. Baby items are subject to strict regulations by JAS, the official organization that manages national safety regulations, making it difficult to sell them in department stores. We wanted to pay close attention to the fine details of the design, so we continued our PR activities without making any compromises, and were able to expand our business mainly to select shops that carry many overseas brands, whose designs were very popular. Talents, politicians, and entertainers sometimes go there, and we were able to use it as a baby gift for many people. I don’t send them to the factory, but I remember taking patterns and producing them while my newborn child slept next to me. Completely handmade. When the sample immigrated to the Netherlands, they contributed to the nursery school of the international school their children attended. I still like the design, which is cute from a baby’s perspective and has a little sense of style. I would be happy if there was something that would be helpful to future mothers and new mothers who have given birth.♡(・・)/
現在10歳になる上の子が生まれて間も無く、ベビースタイブランドを立ち上げ、東京の麻布十番を拠点に販売しました。JASという国の安全規制を管理する公式な団体は、ベビー商品に関しての規制が厳しく管理しています。なかなか百貨店などで扱っていただくのが難しく、大量販売するには、とても営業に苦労しましたが、ハンドメイドらしい、細かいディテールのデザインにこだわりたかったので、安全を強化したり、展示会やPR活動を続け、その中でデザインを気に入っていただいた、海外のブランドを多く取り扱うセレクトショップを中心に展開することができました。そこにはタレントや政治家や芸能人の方々が通うこともあり、高価ながら、たくさんの方の出産ギフトとしてご利用していただく事ができました。横で生まれたばかりの子供を寝かせながらパターンを取ったり、サンプル制作したことを思い出します。完全ハンドメイドです。子供たちもこのスタイから地球の生き物を覚えてくれました。（一部、宇宙の生き物を含む）サンプルはオランダに移住するタイミングで、子供たちが通うインターナショナルスクールの保育園に寄与しました。ベビーの目線で可愛いくて、ちょっとセンスを感じるような、抜けたデザインを、今でもとても気に入っています。これからママになる方や出産されたママになった皆さんに、参考にして作っていただけるような事があったら嬉しいです♡（・・）/
